Terms of Service

Layer Junkies, LLC

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all purchases, services, workshops, memberships, and interactions with Layer Junkies, LLC (“Layer Junkies,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing our website, visiting our store, enrolling in a class, or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

Layer Junkies provides retail sales of 3D printers, materials, accessories, custom 3D printing services, educational workshops, memberships, and related maker services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to make a purchase or enter into an agreement with Layer Junkies unless a parent or legal guardian provides consent on behalf of a minor.

3. Orders and Payments

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Payment is required at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Layer Junkies reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, including but not limited to pricing errors, availability issues, or suspected misuse.

4. Custom Work and Customer-Provided Files

Customers are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy and suitability of submitted files

  • Ensuring they have the legal right to reproduce submitted designs

Layer Junkies is not responsible for errors, failures, or undesired outcomes resulting from customer-provided files, specifications, or instructions.

5. Intellectual Property

All branding, logos, original designs, instructional materials, written content, and original models created by Layer Junkies remain the intellectual property of Layer Junkies unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Customer-submitted files remain the property of the customer.

6. No Warranty Disclaimer

All products and services are provided “as is” and “as available,” except where manufacturer warranties apply.

Layer Junkies makes no guarantees regarding:

  • Print quality or performance

  • Compatibility with third-party equipment

  • Fitness for a particular purpose

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layer Junkies shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business interruption.

Layer Junkies’ total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

8. Workshops, Classes, and Educational Activities

Participation in workshops and classes involves the use of tools, equipment, electronics, heated components, moving parts, and materials associated with 3D printing and maker activities.

Participants assume all risks associated with participation. Layer Junkies is not responsible for injuries resulting from misuse of equipment or failure to follow instructions.

9. Minor Participation & Parental Consent

This section applies to all activities involving minors (individuals under the age of eighteen).

By enrolling a minor in any Layer Junkies program, the parent or legal guardian confirms they have legal authority to grant consent and agrees to the following:

a. Assumption of Risk

Participation may involve tools, electronics, heated components, and materials. The parent or guardian acknowledges and accepts all risks associated with the minor’s participation.

b. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the parent or guardian releases and holds harmless Layer Junkies, LLC, its owners, employees, instructors, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims arising from the minor’s participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

c. Behavioral Expectations

Minors must follow staff instructions, use equipment as directed, and act respectfully. Layer Junkies reserves the right to remove a minor from an activity for unsafe or disruptive behavior without refund or credit.

d. Medical Responsibility

Parents or guardians are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions, allergies, sensory sensitivities, or special needs. Layer Junkies staff are not medical professionals and cannot administer medication.

e. Supervision and Pickup

Unless otherwise specified, minors are supervised only during scheduled activity times. Parents or guardians are responsible for timely drop-off and pickup. Layer Junkies is not responsible for minors outside scheduled session times.

f. Media Release

Unless written notice is provided otherwise, Layer Junkies may photograph or record activities for promotional or educational purposes. No identifying personal information will be shared without consent.

10. Termination of Service

Layer Junkies reserves the right to refuse service, suspend participation, or terminate access to services at our sole discretion.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

Layer Junkies reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By completing a purchase, enrolling in a class, or participating in any Layer Junkies activity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service in full.
